Nature

1. Sodium hydrosulfide is a water-soluble compound that dissolves quickly in water to produce sodium hydroxide and hydrogen sulfide gas.
2. It has a strong foul odor and is an alkaline solution.
3. The solution of sodium hydrosulfide is reducing and can react with many metal ions to generate corresponding sulfides.
4. It decomposes easily at high temperatures.
